Director of Health Information We are in search of an HIM Director-for a Critical Access hospital located in rural New Mexico.

Salary Range:

110k-130k plus

Relocation Assistance Job Summary:

Director of Health Information The Director of Health Information Management (DHIM) reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will maintain hospital medical records and process requests for release of medical information according to established policies and procedures. The DHIM will analyze information and prepare appropriate reports. The DHIM will also be required to accurately transcribe medical and departmental documents as necessary. The DHIM will serve as the HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer (CHPS). The DHIM is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Director of Health Information Associate's degree in health information management required. Bachelor's degree in health information management preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years' supervisory/management experience in Health Information Management is required. A minimum of three (3) years' HIPAA Privacy and Security management experience required. AHIMA Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required. AHIMA Certification as a HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer preferred.
