This pivotal role involves managing the entire patient admission cycle, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a welcoming environment for patients and their families. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare management, medical office operations, and team supervision to drive efficiency, enhance patient experience, and support organizational growth. Duties Lead and supervise the admissions team to ensure smooth patient intake processes while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with HIPAA and other health regulation policies Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft to ensure accurate and secure medical records and patient data Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient scheduling, pre-authorization, and insurance verification, ensuring adherence to managed care protocols Monitor fiscal management activities including budgeting, medical billing, and financial management to optimize practice revenue streams Develop and implement policies for medical administrative support, patient management software utilization, and compliance with healthcare practice management standards Manage human resources functions related to healthcare staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and team development Ensure all operations align with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards, HIPAA compliance, and state/federal health policy requirements Conduct regular audits of medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems to uphold accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance Foster a culture of exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive environment for staff Experience Proven experience in healthcare management or medical office administration with a focus on patient admissions or clinic operations Supervisory experience managing teams within a healthcare setting, ideally in clinics or hospitals with acute or critical care experience Extensive knowledge of medical office systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and EMR/EHR systems including managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong understanding of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, utilization management, and managed care practices Demonstrated expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing processes, and resource allocation within healthcare environments Familiarity with medical terminology, medical billing procedures, hospital or dental clinic experience preferred Excellent managerial communication skills combined with customer service acumen to lead teams effectively while engaging positively with patients and providers Ability to navigate complex healthcare regulations while maintaining operational efficiency in fast-paced settings Join us as an Admissions Director where your leadership will shape the future of our healthcare services!
