Monday- Friday 8:00am
- 4:00pm This Role is for a True Nurse Leader. Elderwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead one of our nursing units within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This is a hands-on leadership role
- ideal for a nurse who is confident in long-term care, comfortable leading teams with varying levels of experience, and committed to building consistency, accountability, and quality on the unit.

What You'll Lead:
Unit Leadership & Team Oversight Provide 24-hour oversight of your assigned nursing unit Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff — with a strong focus on CNA support and performance Set clear expectations for care delivery, accountability, and teamwork Clinical Oversight & Resident Care Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans Monitor clinical indicators and proactively address resident needs Ensure high standards in documentation, infection control, and regulatory compliance Family & Physician Communication Serve as a key point of contact for families and providers Communicate changes in condition and care plans clearly and professionally Address concerns and support service recovery when needed Operations & Staffing Manage daily staffing, call-ins, and scheduling needs Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality and environment standards are met From Up to Qualifications Unit Manager (RN)- Skilled Nursing
What We're Looking For:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license- New York State Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care setting Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Supervisor) required Strong ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountable Experience working with CNA teams and developing newer staff Confidence in handling family communication, clinical oversight, and regulatory expectations Experience with dementia population strongly preferred EOE Statement
