(BAC) is a nonprofit, multi-service, community-based behavioral healthcare organization committed to building healthy communities, one person at a time. In 2012, Brooklyn AIDS Task Force changed its name to BAC and successfully made the transition from an AIDS-centered organization to a multi-service community-based healthcare organization. Brooklyn Aids Task Force was the very first HIV/AIDS organization in Brooklyn to prioritize serving people living with
HIV/AIDS
(PLWHA) since 1986. Today, BAC provides mental health and substance use-related social services, comprehensive
HIV/AIDS
care, and coordinated health care and supportive services to underserve racial and ethnic minority communities in Brooklyn and other parts of New York City. JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Clinical Director, Mental Health Services, must apply a multidisciplinary approach to promote optimal outcomes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring disorders of mental health illness and substance misuse clients of BAC. This position assists in matters of clinical compliance for mental health disorders in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The Director of Mental Health Services assists with the management of multiple service lines in accordance with behavioral health and substance misuse contract funders, including OMH, OASAS and SAMHSA. The position assists in establishing quality measures for mental health service providers agency-wide (including all community and clinical service sites). Assists with establishing clinical practice policy and protocols, individual/group supervision, case conferencing, quality assurance & improvement, and reviewing treatment plans while setting the pace for a high-performing and productive department. The Clinic Director will serve as the primary liaison between the agency and other agencies in the mental health continuum (e.g., state hospital, community case management, adult foster care homes, etc.). The position requires representation of BAC and participation in internal and external meetings as assigned by the Director of Behavioral Health Services. This position is scheduled full-time (35 hours per week) and on-site. The candidate will work during clinic operating hours of Monday -Thursday, 8am -8pm, Friday and Saturday, 9am-5pm.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE MINIMUM
Master's degree in social work (MSW) required SIFI certification, or ability and willingness to obtain certification in the first year
MINIMUM:
5 years of clinical supervision experience to paid therapists
MINIMUM:
3 years in leadership/administrative role in behavioral health, with expertise in managing co-occurring disorder programs

LCSW DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Program Oversight Lead day-to-day operations across multiple mental health service sites Implement and monitor protocols and policies that meet programmatic goals Ensure service delivery aligns with agency objectives and funder requirements Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and service integration initiatives Clinical Supervision & Staff Development Supervise clinical supervisors, managers, and mental health professionals Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff training plans Provide individual and group supervision, coaching, and crisis support Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure documentation and clinical practices meet OMH, OASAS, and HIPAA standards Collaborate with QA and compliance staff on chart audits and performance monitoring Lead root cause analyses and process improvement initiatives Maintain readiness for audits and regulatory site visits Client Services & Interdisciplinary Care Guide clinical teams in evidence-based assessment, treatment planning, and intervention Serve as liaison with hospitals, case management programs, and housing providers Support the integration of behavioral health with primary care and community support Promote trauma-informed, culturally competent service delivery Data & Reporting Track service outcomes and productivity to ensure contract compliance Analyze and report program performance to executive leadership Support grant reporting and funding renewals with relevant data Additional Responsibilities Ensure staff are trained in trauma-informed practices Represent BAC in external meetings and behavioral health coalitions Participate in internal committees and interdisciplinary treatment planning Stay current on best practices and participate in professional development Always maintain confidentiality and ethical standards Other duties as assigned to improve department performance
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Deep understanding of co-occurring disorders and evidence-based interventions Strong administrative and organizational skills Proficiency in EHR systems and medical billing workflows Skilled in supervising diverse, multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of Medicaid, managed care, and value-based payment models Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care Experience using data to make effective changes in service delivery Experience in outpatient clinic operations Strong knowledge of OMH Article 31 and OASAS Article 32 regulations
