Job Description

Job Purpose and Role ENT Specialty Care is hiring a Medical Practice Patient Coordinator. This position strongly influences patients' experiences and relationships with the practice and is an integral part of many work processes that support an optimized and successful medical practice. ENT Specialty Care is a full-service Otolaryngology practice located in Goshen, NY. In addition to General Otolaryngology, we focus on the care of patients with sinus and allergy disease. Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage multiple schedules for several clinicians Answer a multi-line phone system Maintain a professional waiting room Collect co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance; verify insurance and prior authorizations Chart check for the patients to ensure we have all applicable test results/imaging prior to patient appointments Ensure medical documents are complete and accurate Manage patient intake/ check-in process Other activities that promote efficient operations of a medical office. Provide helpful and supportive assistance to patients and physicians to ensure a positive experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and appointment scheduling software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Empathetic and patient-centric approach to customer service. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, and healthcare regulations.

  • Friday (8:30 AM
  • 5:00 PM EST) For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $50,000
  • 60,000 annually.
