Job Description

Camp Seewackamano is a warm, play-based learning environment dedicated to nurturing creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young children. Our summer camp program blends engaging activities, outdoor adventures, and hands-on learning to make every day memorable! Camp Seewackamano runs 6/29/2026-8/28/2026. Mandatory training dates TBD in June 2026.
Position Overview:
We are looking for motivated and passionate leaders to help guide our staff, support our campers, and ensure a smooth and successful summer program. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment, and brings strong management and communication skills. Leadership team members are essential in setting the tone, maintaining structure, and modeling professionalism throughout the season.
Leadership Positions Available:
Health Director-Qualifications and certifications include
Physician or Nurse Practitioner or RN or LPN or EMT, First Aid, CPR, RTE Responsibilities:
Assists the Camp Leadership the overall leadership of camp operations Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies. Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play Communicate effectively with families and coworkers Uphold all licensing, health, and safety standards Support daily routines including meals and transitions
Requirements:
Qualifications and certifications include Physician or Nurse Practitioner or RN or LPN or EMT, First Aid, CPR, RTE MUST be able to work a minimum of 4 weeks during the camp summer CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong management and communication skills Ability to work outdoors and participate in active play Passionate, reliable, and team-oriented "Y" Join Us?
