Full-Time | Operations & Patient Experience About the Position The Orthodontist & Co., a premier luxury orthodontic practice in Long Island City, is seeking a professional, personable, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator . At The Orthodontist & Co., we believe every visit should feel welcoming, seamless, and personalized. As the first point of contact for our practice, you will play a crucial role in shaping the patient journey—balancing high-touch hospitality with efficient front-desk operations, appointment coordination, and administrative care.
What You'll Do:
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and elevated experience for every patient and family.
  • Manage daily front-desk operations, including check-in/check-out, scheduling, and appointment coordination.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism, warmth, and accuracy.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and orthodontic coverage.
  • Clearly communicate insurance benefits, treatment schedules, and payment details to patients and families.
  • Coordinate closely with the orthodontist and clinical team to ensure a smooth, well-organized patient journey.
  • Assist with payments, billing forms, patient records, and general office administration.
  • Follow up thoughtfully with patients regarding upcoming appointments, financial arrangements, and outstanding documentation.
  • Maintain a polished, organized, and inviting reception area.
Who We're Looking For:

      Highly professional, polished, and confident when communicating in person, over the phone, and in writing.
        Organizational Mastery:
        Attentive to details, proactive, and adept at multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
          Versatility:
          Comfortable balancing hospitality, administrative responsibilities, and patient needs.
            Background:
            Previous experience in orthodontics, dentistry, healthcare administration, luxury hospitality, insurance verification, or high-end customer service is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
              Training Pay:
              $18.00/hour (for the first 90 days)
                Pay Rate:
                $19.00 - $22.00 / hour (commensurate with experience and skill set)
                  Schedule:
                  Full-Time (Tuesday - Saturday schedule required)
