Summary As a Medical Assistant at We Care For Eyes, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring smooth operations within our practice. This position is perfect for individuals looking to make an impact while learning in a dynamic work atmosphere. Our Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support our patients and doctors. Responsibilities Collecting and organizing patient information and medical history Processing insurance authorizations and verifying coverage Managing patient paperwork, filing, and digital records Answering phone calls and assisting with patient inquiries Scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-ups Communicating clearly with patients and staff using medical and optical terminology Supporting a compassionate, efficient, and client-focused environment Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of insurances (medical and/or vision). Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work well in a medium-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
