This supervisory position directs all areas and aspects of patient care within the hospital and ER ONE-Emergency Department. You will work collaboratively with the staff, department managers and Hospitalists to ensure that safe and high quality patient care is delivered. Clinical knowledge base and strong problem solving and decision making skills essential. This position is also responsible for the coordination of the goals, objectives, and strategies as they relate to designated hours of duty. In order to ensure the provision of effective nursing care in a highly decentralized environment, the Hospital Supervisor (RN) must be able to effectively guide, develop, support, and empower staff members assigned to their shift. This position must establish and maintain the necessary relationships and communication with senior administrative staff, nursing personnel, medical staff, finance, quality improvement, other departments, professional community, external agencies/bodies, and lay community in representing the Medical Center and Department of Patient Care Services.
Requirements:
New York State RN license One-year supervisory experience required
