Patient Access Manager - Health Information Management - Full Time-Day Shift-Req 9556
Pay Range:
$33.44-$44.30• The Patient Access Manager is responsible for the supervision of the Hospital's Patient Registration areas, Central Scheduling, and the Switchboard department. The goal of this position is to ensure high quality service for patients and accuracy of information affecting both pre- and post-visit services.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling, guidance, and coverage for employees. Auditing and monitoring staff for accuracy and completeness of registered accounts. Monitoring of Quality Assurance Measures. Orientation of new employees. Oversight of ongoing staff training and education. Auditing AHIQA and assisting Director of HIM/Registration with education and improvements. Monitoring front end collections and assisting Director of HIM/Registration with implementing policies for increased front-end collections. Completing payroll for registration, central scheduling, and switchboard. Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate (required) Associate degree in healthcare or healthcare related field (preferred) CHAM Certification (preferred) Excellent attention to detail. 2+ years' registration experience. 2+ years' experience working in CPSI (preferred) Excellent communications skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with clerical, technical, managerial, and senior level staff. Strong analytic and computer skills. Must be able to determine root causes for data integrity issues. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relative to the registration field. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
