Pay Range:
$22.11-$28.74
• The Clinical Staffing Coordinator manages day-to-day nursing and clinical staff schedules, shift coverage, and roster optimization across all patient care units (ED, Med-Surg, ICU, OB). Serving as the operational nerve center for facility-wide staffing, this role balances census fluctuations and patient acuity with staff availability to ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios, minimize overtime, and reduce reliance on high-cost agency staffing. Core Responsibilities

Scheduling & Shift Optimization:
Develop and maintain 4-to-6-week master schedules for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensuring balanced shift distribution, skill mix, and weekend/holiday coverage.

Daily Census & Acuity Alignment:
Monitor daily patient census and acuity in real time, reallocating staff or activating float pools to match operational demands.
•
Call-Out & Absences Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for shift call-outs, leaves of absence, and short-notice schedule changes, securing qualified coverage efficiently.

Cost Control & Labor Management:
Monitor overtime hours, premium pay triggers, and traveler agency utilization to keep labor costs within budget targets.

Compliance & Policy Enforcement:
Ensure all schedules comply with hospital policies, union contracts (if applicable), labor laws, mandatory rest-period rules, and regulatory safety standards.

System Administration & Analytics:
Maintain the automated scheduling system (e.g., Kronos, OnShift, API Healthcare), generating monthly reports on attendance, overtime usage, and agency dependency for leadership.

Managerial Administrative Support:
Partner with Nurse Managers and clinical leaders to streamline administrative scheduling tasks, allowing clinical supervisors to focus on patient care and quality oversight.
Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (high school diploma with 3+ years of direct clinical scheduling experience considered).
Experience:
2+ years of scheduling, bed management, or administrative coordination in a hospital or healthcare facility.
