Off Shift Schedule SUMMARY:
The Nursing Shift Supervisor is a Nursing Leader who serves as a resource for problem solving, provides clinical expertise, facilitates staff mentoring and coaching, facilitates patient flow during the off shifts (typically, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides on-site leadership and oversight during off-shifts in hospital or long-term care settings, managing patient care delivery, staffing, and emergent situations in the absence of onsite management. Supports staff through clinical problem-solving, mentoring, coaching, and reinforcing hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Rounds on patients with concerns, admitted Emergency Department patients, and actively facilitates patient flow and decision-making in collaboration with the care team. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive care, while advocating for patient rights and shared decision-making. Ensures appropriate documentation and communication of shift occurrences, safety concerns, and staffing adjustments; serves as liaison across departments and with leadership. Maintains required education, participates in leadership development, ensures fiscal responsibility, and engages in community and professional healthcare activities.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Current New York State Registered Nurse License Effective 1/1/2014, BLS required for all new candidates prior to hire BLS required for all internal team members by 12/31/2014 PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

PAY RANGE
$85,000.00- $120,000.
