Total Compensation Range:
$23/hr - $27/hr Lead a Growing Medical Practice Focused on Exceptional Patient Care We're seeking a Practice Administrator to oversee the daily operations of a busy, growing specialty medical practice in Nassau County . This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys balancing staff leadership, operational efficiency, financial performance, and patient satisfaction. What You'll Do Practice Operations Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy outpatient medical office. Monitor patient flow and identify opportunities to improve scheduling, efficiency, and overall office performance. Coordinate provider schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage. Manage office inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships. Address facility needs and coordinate repairs or maintenance as necessary. Leadership & Team Development Supervise front office personnel and foster a positive, collaborative work environment. Recruit, onboard, and train new team members. Coach staff to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining operational excellence. Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the practice. Financial & Administrative Oversight Ensure accurate insurance verification and authorization processes. Monitor front desk collections, copay capture, and patient balances. Support revenue cycle processes by assisting patients with billing questions and payment expectations. Review payroll and staffing patterns to optimize labor utilization. Patient Experience Create a welcoming, patient-centered office environment from check-in through check-out. Resolve patient concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Oversee scheduling, appointment confirmations, recalls, and follow-up communications. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 4+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or physician practice setting preferred. Previous experience supervising staff or managing office operations strongly preferred. Strong understanding of medical scheduling, insurance verification, and front office workflows. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
