Job Description

Job Summary Saint Joseph's Medical Practice, PC is seeking a dependable and versatile Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This float position combines both Medical Assistant and Front Desk responsibilities and is essential in providing coverage for employee absences, vacations, and other staffing needs. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, patient-focused, and able to work efficiently in both clinical and administrative settings. This role requires travel between practice locations as needed, making reliable transportation a necessity. ResponsibilitiesClinical (Medical Assistant) Duties Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information Assist providers during patient visits Perform clinical duties within scope of training Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Administrative (Front Desk) Duties Welcome and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries Collect copayments and process patient payments Scan, file, and maintain patient records Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist required Medical Assistant certification preferred eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced medical environment Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Dependable, professional, and adaptable Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required Ability to travel between practice locations as needed Flexibility to cover staff vacations, absences, and schedule changes High school diploma or equivalent Compensation $22.00 - $25.00 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills.
