Supportive, team-oriented work environment Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement) Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and development Meaningful work that makes a difference in our community Position Summary The BWC & Occ Health Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of workers' compensation cases and occupational health services to ensure compliance with Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) regulations, facilitate timely treatment and return-to-work processes, and provide exceptional customer service to employers, injured workers, providers, and case managers. This role serves as the primary liaison between employers, injured workers, healthcare providers, third-party administrators, and BWC representatives. Key Responsibilities Work Health Management Flu Shot clinic coordination. Respiratory fit testing and coordination. Workers' Compensation Case Management Coordinate care for injured workers from initial injury through claim resolution. Monitor and track workers' compensation claims to ensure timely follow-up and documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, injured workers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and BWC representatives. Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure appropriate medical treatment plans are followed. Facilitate communication between providers and employers regarding work restrictions and return-to-work status. Assist providers with completion of required BWC forms and documentation. Employer Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with employer clients. Provide education regarding workers' compensation processes, injury management, and Occ Health services. Respond promptly to employer inquiries regarding claim status, work restrictions, Drug screen results and employee care plans. Coordinate employer services including pre-employment physicals, drug screens, DOT physicals, and injury treatment services. Schedule/Follow Police & Fire Physicals. Systoc entry, coding, and billing. Compliance and Documentation Ensure compliance with all BWC, OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and complete patient and claim records within the electronic medical record (EMR). Track deadlines for MEDCO-14s, C-9s, FROI submissions, and other required documentation. Audit documentation for accuracy and completeness. Administrative Responsibilities Assist with occupational health program development and process improvement initiatives. Coordinate scheduling and administrative support for occupational health services. Participate in employer outreach and business development activities as needed.
Required Qualifications Education:
Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant is preferred. BLS Certification within 30 days of employment.
Experience:
One (1) year of Occupational Health experience preferred.
