Front Office Patient Care Coordinator Lee Side Wellness Mason, Ohio Full-Time | Flexible Schedule | Monday-Friday Join Our Team Lee Side Wellness is a growing independent behavioral health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. We are seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate Front Office Patient Care Coordinator to become an integral part of our team. This position is ideal for someone who can provide exceptional customer service, maintain professionalism during difficult conversations, and contribute to a positive patient experience from the first phone call through check-in and follow-up.

A key responsibility of this position is collecting patient payments and discussing financial responsibility. We are seeking someone who is compassionate, professional, and comfortable having respectful but sometimes difficult financial conversations while maintaining excellent customer service. Position Summary The Front Office Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in ensuring efficient daily operations. This individual is responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, communicating with patients, and supporting providers while maintaining a welcoming, organized, and professional office environment. Essential Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional customer service. Answer a multi-line telephone system and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and patient demographics. Collect co-pays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments. Clearly communicate financial policies and patient financial responsibility. Make outbound calls regarding outstanding patient balances and payment arrangements. Maintain professionalism and empathy during difficult financial conversations. Process patient registrations and maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Scan, upload, and maintain confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate communication between providers, patients, pharmacies, and referral sources. Assist with daily office operations and additional administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of medical office, behavioral health, or healthcare administrative experience. Experience collecting patient payments and discussing financial responsibility. Comfortable making collection calls and handling difficult financial conversations professionally. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. High attention to detail. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team. Preferred Behavioral health or psychiatric office experience. Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Tebra experience is a plus). Scheduling flexibility is expected to support patient care and the operational needs of the practice. Compensation & Benefits As a growing independent behavioral health practice, Lee Side Wellness does not currently offer employer-sponsored health insurance. However, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Starting pay of $22.00+ per hour , based on experience. Performance and compensation review after 90 days , with the potential for a wage increase based on performance. Paid Time Off (PTO) beginning upon hire. Additional PTO earned through tenure.
