NURSE MANAGER JOB OVERVIEW

Ohman Family Living is hiring a full time Clinical Manager for the long term care unit at Briar Hill Health Campus in Middlefield, Ohio. We will consider both RN and LPN candidates for this nursing leadership role. If you are a charge nurse or unit nurse ready to move into management, or an experienced unit manager looking for a stable schedule and a leadership team that actually knows your name, this is worth a conversation. The Clinical Manager runs day to day clinical operations on the long term care unit. You lead the nursing team on the floor, keep care plans and documentation accurate, and make sure residents get the consistent, attentive care their families expect. This is hands on leadership. You will be on the unit with your team, not behind a closed door.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, day shift Some on call responsibility

CLINICAL MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise, coach, and support LPNs, RNs, and STNAs on the long-term care unit Oversee resident care plans, nursing assessments, and clinical documentation so they reflect current condition and needs Round on residents daily, respond to changes in condition, and coordinate with physicians, therapy, and the interdisciplinary team Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and families, resolving concerns before they become complaints Partner with the MDS team on accurate and timely assessments Monitor medication administration, treatments, wound care, and infection control for quality and compliance Keep the unit survey ready at all times and take part in survey response and plan of correction work Support unit staffing and scheduling, including filling gaps and reducing reliance on agency coverage Lead orientation, in service education, and skill development for unit nursing staff Participate in admission review and discharge planning from a clinical standpoint Carry on call responsibility every third weekend

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Ohio nursing license in good standing, RN or LPN At least two years of nursing experience in long term care, skilled nursing, or a nursing home setting Charge nurse, unit manager, or supervisory experience preferred. We will also consider a strong floor nurse ready to step up Working knowledge of Ohio and federal long term care regulations Comfortable with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems Able to lead a team with patience and follow through, especially on the days that do not go according to plan
