Bailey Medical Center offers a full range of medical services, including general surgery, maternity, gynecology, bariatrics, orthopedics and emergency care. The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region. This position is responsible for patient care coordination on designated shift for BMC in patient care areas in collaboration with the administrator on call. To ensure quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the organization, this position provides direct operational support for the hospital on a shift basis, acts as a clinical resource person for the staff and acts as a liaison between staff and management, assisting the administrator in determining staffing needs and identifying problems within the campus. The House supervisor provides the communication link between manager, staff, patients, physicians and others. This position serves as a resource to staff for patient bed assessment and in the planning of emergency nursing interventions. The position facilitates problem resolution and collaborates with administration, and the Medical Director in assessing quality of care provided, identifying staff strengths and weaknesses and in evaluation of staff performance. Operational issues are identified by this position, and the position works to take action and correct problems. Interface with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning is also required. The Registered Nurse may make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.

Job Requirements:
