Cascade Health is looking for a compassionate, clinically strong Clinical Manager to help lead our Pete Moore Hospice House team. Position Summary The Clinical Manager provides direct clinical support to nursing staff and assists with the day-to-day leadership and operations of the Pete Moore Hospice House . This role supports patient admissions, discharges, staffing, clinical documentation, quality initiatives, staff coaching, and family and patient concerns. Working alongside the Hospice House Manager, the Clinical Manager helps coordinate high-quality hospice care and provides leadership, education, and support to the nursing team. This position also serves as back-up coverage for the Manager and shares rotational leadership call coverage. What You'll Do Provide clinical support and leadership to nursing staff on the floor. Support patient admissions, discharges, death tasks, assessments, and documentation. Help coordinate patient care among patients, families, physicians, hospice staff, and community resources. Provide coaching, training, orientation, and clinical guidance to nursing staff. Monitor staffing needs, ensure staff receive appropriate breaks, and help minimize unnecessary overtime. Serve as a first point of contact for patient, family, staff, and safety concerns, escalating to the Manager when appropriate. Assist with conflict resolution and promote positive team communication. Manage Hospice House beds and work with referral sources to coordinate admissions and discharges. Oversee documentation for compliance with organizational standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and hospice best practices. Support medication safety and Hospital Drug Room procedures, including documentation and follow-up related to medication errors or operational variances. Participate in Hospice Interdisciplinary Team meetings, audits, quality initiatives, and

projects. Assist with investigations and follow-up related to incident reports. Collaborate with scheduling to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, evaluating, and supervising staff. Maintain current knowledge of hospice nursing practices, health care trends, equipment, and clinical systems. Provide back-up coverage for the Pete Moore Hospice House Manager. Share rotational leadership call coverage with other Hospice team leaders. Participate in meetings, conferences, and staff education. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring Required:

Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current CPR certification. At least 2 years of experience working with the medical and psychosocial needs of terminally ill patients . Valid driver's license and insured vehicle for transportation. Food Handler's Card obtained upon hire.

Preferred:

2+ years of supervisory experience in a hospice setting. Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills. Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities. Teaching and staff development experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of current hospice practices, regulations, and standards of care.
