Job Description

Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical oversight and administrative supervisory aspects of Integrated Behavioral Health. The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the Behavioral Health Departments leadership team and may also provide clinical services as needed. This role provides clinical supervisor for licensed and unlicensed staff pursuing licensures and provides group supervision for clinical IBH staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides regular supervision to each clinician in the IBH program, maintains accurate documentation of individual and group supervision meetings held at least two times per month. Oversee the training for Behavioral Health Clinicians, Mental Health Clinicians and other roles that provide services under the umbrella of behavioral health, focusing on ensuring adherence to documentation standards and standards of care. Provides clear expectations regarding performance and training and addresses performance issues promptly and effectively. Coordinates hiring process including orientation, training and credentialing in collaboration with Behavioral Health Care Manager. Monitors employee productivity, documentation, billing practices and performs day to day quality management tasks (audits, utilization review, etc.). May supervise MSW or MA/MS students from partnering universities Provides crisis consultation and intervention as needed. May provide direct services, including individual and group sessions, evaluations, and case management. Document and maintain records to ensure compliance with VG guidelines and OARs. Meets standards for documentation and work accuracy for self and supervisees, including timely completion of concise documentation in electronic healthcare system of care and recommendations in the patient's medical record within 24 hours of seeing the patient. May networks with community providers and partners Travel between sites where supervisees work may be required Provides training and consultation to clinic staff regarding prevention and management of disruptive behavior. Provide back-up for other staff when needed Provides appropriate resources and support linkage, culturally appropriate advocacy and community collaboration, and culturally appropriate client evaluation and treatment. May be required to participate in projects assisting with metrics specific to population-based health. Participate in a culture of feedback at the agency by eliciting feedback to promote professional growth and assess work effectiveness. Meets performance standards for productivity, documentation (including progress notes, assessments, treatment plans and authorization requests) proficiency in clinical model and evidence-based practices, quality of care (including engagement and retention) and teamwork as defined in the Performance Review Participate in regular individual and team meetings. Attending informational and clinical meetings which may include all staff and team meetings, consultation with other staff and required training.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Clinical skills and knowledge base of clinical care standards in the treatment of high-risk adults, including those affected by multiple issues (abuse, neglect, domestic violence, chemical dependency). Diagnostic skills and knowledge of
DSM V TR.
Knowledge of regulations affecting the delivery of Behavioral Health services, including OARS, Federal, States and County policies and procedures and applicable ethical codes. Ability to manage and support team-based services. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule daily activities for the most efficient use of time. Problem solving skills with the ability to look for the root cause of issues and implementable, workable solutions. Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to participate as an independent contributor with little direct supervision or as an active team member depending on the circumstance or need. Knowledge and experience in working with computer systems and electronic medical records. Knowledge of learning and behavior change principles. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
Education Experience and Training:
Master's degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited school is required. Must have current
LPC, LCSW, OR LMFT
licensure Experience providing clinical supervision and ability to register as clinical supervisor with appropriate states boards (Board of Social Work, Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists) required Fluency in Spanish and experience within the Latinx community is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of community health, welfare, and social agencies is required. Basic Life Saving Skills (BLS) certification is required. Demonstrated ability to conduct an assessment including identifying precipitating events, gathering histories of mental and physical health, alcohol and other drug use, past mental health services, and criminal justice contacts, assessing family, social and work relationships and conducting a mental status examination, complete a DSM diagnosis; write and supervise the implementation of an Individual Services and Support Plan and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy within the scope of their training. Experience working in a multi-cultural, diverse environment. A valid state driver's license, transportation and auto insurance is required or alternative means of transportation.
