Job Description

Healing Path Psychology is seeking a part-time Biller/Office adminstrator in our Bethlehem for 32 hours per week.
Summary:
We are looking for a part-time employee to maintain practice finances, including billing and collecting from insurance companies and patients, as well as completing administrative tasks and placing patients. Responsibilities include performing overall management of the office tasks, including but not limited to submitting insurance claims, collecting balances from patients, following up on and resubmitting denied claims, verification of benefits, collecting documentation from patients, arranging new appointments, and providing general administrative support to our therapists. This position requires both being able to follow systematic procedures, as well as having a positive, warm approach to dealing with clients and employees.
Job Responsibilities:
(include but not limited to) Benefits verification and Claim submission Placing new patients and creating patient profiles Following up on and resubmitting denied claims Collecting balances from patients Entering payments from insurance companies into our practice management system Ensuring balanced finances in our practice management system Ensuring client profiles are complete Assist with onboarding and credentialing new hires Train new hires in use of the practice management system Prepare professional documents and correspondence Perform other office management and administrative duties as needed Meet each week with practice owner to discuss practice operations and problem-solve any issues that arise throughout the week
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills A conscientious, detail-oriented mindset is essential Ability to adhere to procedures and work efficiently and independently Positive, service-oriented attitude Courteous, friendly, helpful personality Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good computer skills 1 year of previous experience in a healthcare setting or mental health field preferred Some college preferred but not required Equal Opportunity Employer/Non-discrimination in
