Director, Global Clinical Physician- Cardiovascular Position Responsibilities Serves as a clinical/medical contact in diligence-related conversations with target company scientific and clinical contacts, partnering closely with senior BD leadership Identifies and enacts best practices with minimal instruction, escalating judgment calls as appropriate Provides regular and timely updates to management and governance stakeholders, flagging risks and recommendations as they arise Leads literature review and competitive landscape assessment, translating findings into asset valuation and trial design benchmarking recommendations for prospective deals Leads development of the clinical development plan spanning early to late development, and presents recommendations to governance committees and development team leadership as required Leads clinical assessment of trial design elements (endpoints, statistical assumptions, enrollment criteria, patient population/eligibility risk) for target assets and precedent/competitor trials, providing clinical input on feasibility and valuation assumptions Leads the development of trial design and feasibility benchmarking materials (sample size, enrollment assumptions, country selection) and helps shape the medical narrative supporting asset valuation and deal feasibility assessments Leads clinical and medical input to diligence packages, including safety risk assessment, and present findings to BD leadership and governance committees Collaborates cross-functionally with Biostatistics, Regulatory, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Pharmacology to inform clinical development and diligence assessments Serves as a therapeutic area medical resource across key cardiovascular areas (e.
