Job Overview Driftwood Psychotherapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who is a Board-approved clinical supervisor to join our growing team. This position combines direct client care with clinical supervision and mentorship of LGPCs and interns. Applicants must hold an active Maryland LCPC license and current supervisor approval from the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Interns, LGPCs, and applicants seeking initial Maryland licensure are not eligible for this supervisor position. Our practice specializes in supporting the first responder community, including fire service, EMS, law enforcement, corrections, and dispatch personnel. Experience working with first responders or a personal background in these fields is valued but not required. As we expand, we offer the flexibility to work from home, in our office, or through a combination of both. Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to LGPCs, supporting their clinical skills, professional development, and progress toward independent licensure. Conduct regular supervision sessions, review cases, and provide constructive feedback on assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and documentation. Maintain supervision records and complete required supervision documentation in accordance with Maryland Board requirements. Guide supervisees in ethical decision-making, professional boundaries, client confidentiality, crisis intervention, and risk assessment. Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to clients' needs. Assess and respond to clients in crisis, including safety planning and coordination of appropriate care. Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans and accurate, timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated client care. Stay current with clinical best practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Requirements Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field. Active, unrestricted Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license. Current approval from the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists to supervise LGPCs. Strong clinical skills in assessment, individual counseling, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and case management. Ability to provide supportive, structured supervision and clear, constructive feedback. Knowledge of Maryland requirements governing professional counseling and clinical supervision. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and culturally responsive care. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience providing clinical supervision to LGPCs. Experience providing group counseling. Familiarity with first responder culture and mental health concerns.
