Job Overview Position Summary Upstar Mental Health Services is seeking an Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to coordinate clinical services in our substance use disorder program. The SUD Clinical Coordinator provides direct care, supports counselors and case managers with treatment planning and case consultation, and helps clients receive consistent, compassionate, recovery oriented services. This is a clinical coordination role. Agency leadership retains responsibility for the program's budget, hiring, and overall operations. Essential Job Duties Provide SUD counseling and other clinical services within the scope of licensure and agency approval. Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation within required timelines. Help coordinate clinical services for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs. Offer case consultation and treatment planning support to counselors and case managers. Review clinical documentation and communicate opportunities for improvement to staff and agency leadership. Coordinate with treatment providers, recovery resources, medical providers, courts, and other partners as appropriate. Identify client safety concerns, barriers to care, and service gaps and communicate them according to agency policy. Participate in team meetings, clinical consultation, and required training. Follow all agency, Medicaid, confidentiality, licensing, documentation, and mandated reporting requirements. Required Qualifications Active Ohio LPCC license in good standing. Experience providing substance use disorder treatment. Experience working with clients who have co-occurring substance use and mental health needs. Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work respectfully with clients, staff, families, and community partners. Ability to pass all required background checks. Ability to maintain active licensure and meet applicable licensing board requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience in outpatient or community based behavioral health services. Experience providing case consultation or helping coordinate clinical services. Familiarity with Ohio Medicaid requirements and electronic health records. Experience working with community recovery resources and referral partners. Schedule and Work Expectations This is a full-time position. The schedule may include office based services, community appointments, telehealth as approved, team meetings, and occasional evenings based on client and program needs. The SUD Clinical Coordinator must be professional, responsive, organized, and committed to ethical, recovery oriented care. This position requires timely documentation, clear communication, appropriate boundaries, and consistent follow-through. Compensation $60,000
