Caren Stewart & Associates is seeking an experienced, independently licensed mental health clinician with clinical supervision qualifications to join our established group practice. This position combines an active clinical caseload with clinical supervision, mentorship, quality oversight, and clinical leadership as our team continues to grow. We strongly prefer a clinician who is already approved or appropriately qualified to provide clinical supervision toward independent licensure in South Carolina .

The Role Initially, the position will primarily involve maintaining an active clinical caseload. Supervisory responsibilities will expand as we continue recruiting associate-level clinicians.

Responsibilities may include:

Maintaining an average of at least 20 completed client sessions per week Providing clinical supervision to associate clinicians Supporting supervisees working toward independent licensure Reviewing/signing documentation when supervisory approval is required Providing clinical consultation and mentorship Supporting documentation, treatment-plan, ethical, regulatory, and payer compliance Contributing to clinical policies, procedures, and quality standards Helping build a strong, accountable clinical team As supervision responsibilities increase, caseload expectations may be adjusted to maintain an appropriate balance between direct clinical care and supervision. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling, behavioral therapy, and clinical team leadership, with a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs, including neurodevelopmental disorders, co-occurring conditions, and developmental disabilities. Supervise clinical staff and trainees, offering guidance on clinical best practices, documentation standards, and case management approaches. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in mental health or behavioral health settings. Demonstrated expertise in working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities. Extensive background in behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies. Strong knowledge of diagnostic coding systems such as

for accurate patient assessment documentation. Experience working with co-occurring disorders involving mental health and substance use issues. Supervising experience leading clinical teams or training staff in evidence-based practices like CPT coding and crisis intervention protocols. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, data collection, and medical records management. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds while providing culturally sensitive care. Knowledge of pediatric care principles, including child & family counseling and special education considerations.
