What You'll Do As Clinical Coordinator, you'll provide operational leadership during the PM shift, ensuring smooth patient throughput and high-quality care. You'll serve as a mentor, resource, and advocate for both patients and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing admissions, transfers, and discharges Delegating care and coordinating staffing based on acuity and skill mix Supporting bedside nursing through coaching, mentoring, and accountability Collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals Ensuring compliance with infection control, medication safety, and documentation standards Leading performance improvement initiatives using evidence-based practice Promoting patient education, independence, and advocacy Maintaining confidentiality and ethical decision-making in all aspects of care Qualifications BSN required (ADN/Diploma considered if enrolled in RN-to-BSN/MSN program with completion expected within 12 months) Minimum 2 years of specialty experience within the past 5 years Current RN license in South Carolina National nursing certification in specialty (or obtained within 6 months of hire) About the
Surgical Stepdown Unit:
Our Surgical Stepdown Unit provides cardiac-monitored, intermediate-level care for adult and geriatric patients recovering from complex surgical procedures. Nurses in this unit manage a diverse and challenging patient population with advanced post-operative needs. We care for patients recovering from: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve replacement , including TAVR (Aortic or Apical) Pacemaker/AICD implantation Carotid stent placements , Fem-Pop bypass , and AAA with endograft Other cardiovascular surgical procedures (excluding vasopressors and arterial lines) Dysrhythmia detection and treatment Management of unstable angina, ACS, and CHF Epidural anesthesia administration Vascular/revascularization procedures , thoracic surgeries , and neurological cases General, oral, plastic, and urological surgeries Glucostabilizer therapy Other medical/surgical needs requiring intermediate-level nursing care and cardiac monitoring Benefits That Start Day ONE Medical, dental, and life insurance 403(b) retirement plan with 6% employer match Tuition reimbursement & student loan forgiveness Employer-paid short- and long-term disability Adoption assistance Up to 3x salary in supplemental life insurance 20+ hours of continuing education annually Join a team where surgical recovery meets clinical excellence.
