Job Description
SECTION 1
Job Summary (Summary of the basic functions of the position) The Clinical Supervisor plans, organizes and directs all aspects of the clinical services and exercises general supervision over all nursing staff members in the performance of clinical activities.SECTION 2
Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions) Manages clinical services in accordance with company policies and procedures and regulatory standards. Develops and implements policy as needed to accommodate changing activities within the clinic. Manages nursing care staffing assignments essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance, and enhancement of patient's wellness and cosmetic satisfaction. Supervises and evaluates Team Leaders and tertiary staff, i.e., triage, phlebotomy, scanning, and phototherapy. Responsible for clinical personnel, including orienting and training new nursing service employees, conducting performance appraisals and disciplinary counseling sessions, and coordinating transfer, promotion and/or termination of clinical personnel. Assures that patient care needs are appropriately met and resolves patient care crisis problems, with direction from Clinical Manger. Develops, coordinates and monitors work schedules, hours and duty assignments, and patient schedules for review by Ambulatory Surgery Center Supervisor & Clinical Manager Applies when RNs on the floor have an LVN/LPN as a Clinical Supervisor. (RNs require another RN to schedule and assign their work schedule) Provides verification of clinical personnel work hours for payroll. Plans and schedules appropriate in-service programs for clinical personnel. Assists in determining needs of supplies and equipment. Possesses a thorough working knowledge of all levels of aseptic technique and its application and utilizes same to reduce occurrence of environmental infection by directing attention to infection control measures and environmental safety practices. Is thoroughly familiar with the operation of all equipment used. Prepares and assists in leading regular staff meetings for clinical staff. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service. Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.SECTION 3
Experience Requirements Two-years of work experience in medical office, preferably in dermatology Previous supervising experience preferredSECTION 4
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements Must have a thorough working knowledge of aseptic & clinical techniques to assist physicians. Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needs Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving Basic to intermediate computer operation Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding ofHIPAA & OSHA

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises nursing staff employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.Benefits
