Job Description

Job Summary:
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing hospitality and residential operations to ensure a safe, comfortable, organized, and high-quality living environment. This position provides leadership and oversight for housing services, resident support, housekeeping, accommodations, common areas, and related hospitality functions. The Hospitality Manager will establish service standards, manage hospitality staff and vendors, address resident needs, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and a positive resident experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily hospitality, housing, and residential service operations.
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, accommodations, customer service, and overall resident experience.
  • Manage resident check-in, check-out, room assignments, room readiness, and related housing processes.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for resident questions, concerns, and service needs.
  • Oversee housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, linen, and other hospitality services as applicable.
  • Conduct routine inspections of residential units, common areas, and hospitality spaces.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and facilities manager to ensure housing-related issues are addressed promptly.
  • Manage hospitality vendors, contractors, and service providers and monitor service quality.
  • Develop and implement hospitality procedures, service standards, resident guidelines, and operating processes.
  • Monitor occupancy, housing availability, and accommodation needs.
  • Maintain accurate records related to housing assignments, occupancy, resident requests, complaints, and service activities.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate hospitality personnel.
  • Manage hospitality supplies, inventory, equipment, and related operational needs.
  • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Address resident concerns professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
  • Coordinate with all Safety, Security, Facilities, Human Resources, Operations and Food Managers as needed.
  • Assist with planning for changes in occupancy levels and operational requirements.
  • Support the opening and implementation of new housing or hospitality operations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and competing demands simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organizational discipline.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to maintain professional hospitality standards.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate employees, vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, schedules, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn applicable hospitality, housing, or operational management systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and sound judgment when addressing resident concerns and sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with other departments and operational teams.
  • Ability to work extended or non-traditional hours when necessary to support operational needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attention to the importance of Safety in all operations and implement appropriate risk mitigation actions
  • Strong Leadership skills to motivate and guide the team.
  • Ability to manage conflict within the team and handle disagreements in a professional manner that develops trust and delivers results.
  • Smooth daily operations and ability to respond rapidly to unplanned events.
Demonstrated ability to Create a Budget to meet the quality of service required and then manage the Hospitality/F&B operation while accommodating changes in occupancy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hospitality, hotel operations, residential services, lodging, property management, workforce housing, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Experience managing hospitality staff, vendors, contractors, and multiple service functions preferred.
  • Experience developing or implementing operational procedures and service standards preferred.
  • Experience supporting the opening or startup of a hospitality, residential, lodging, or similar operation is highly desirable.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide direction, training, and feedback to employees.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is beneficial but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based on-site in Haskell, Texas , and operates within a combination of office, residential, and operational environments. The Hospitality Manager will regularly move throughout the site, including residential units, common areas, and other facilities, to oversee operations, inspect service standards, and address resident and operational needs. The position may require periods of standing and walking and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Due to the nature of hospitality and residential operations, the employee must be able to adapt to changing operational needs and may occasionally be required to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.

  • Ability to anticipate resident, staffing, and service needs and take proactive action when appropriate.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining service and operational standards.
  • Ability to identify trends or recurring service issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism when handling difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Ability to develop solutions that improve efficiency, service quality, and the overall resident experience.
Shift will be determined based on operational needs
