This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and guiding a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. The Program/Clinical Director provides clinical and programmatic leadership for TrueNorth Behavioral Health and is responsible for the development, implementation, supervision, quality, and continuous improvement of the organization's mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs. The Program/Clinical Director ensures that services are person-centered, evidence-informed, clinically appropriate, trauma-responsive, and delivered in accordance with applicable Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) requirements, professional licensing requirements, payer requirements, CARF standards, and TrueNorth policies and procedures . This position serves as a key member of TrueNorth's leadership team and works closely with the CEO/Administrator, Medical/Psychiatric Providers, Nursing, Business Development, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, Compliance, and Quality Improvement functions. Because TrueNorth intends to provide licensed SUD treatment services, the individual selected for this position must also satisfy any applicable HHSC requirements for the facility's designated Clinical Program Director . Texas HHSC's CDTF application materials identify the Clinical Program Director as the individual responsible for planning, directing, or supervising treatment programs and require the director to meet applicable qualified credential counselor and post-licensure experience requirements. Duties Provide strategic leadership and supervision to clinical staff, including therapists, case managers, and support personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices in behavioral health and mental health counseling. Oversee clinical program development, implementation, and evaluation to meet organizational goals and compliance standards. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations utilizing

coding systems, and develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Supervise group therapy sessions, individual counseling, family therapy, and child & family counseling initiatives to promote holistic recovery. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Coordinate crisis management and crisis intervention efforts for clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises. Lead clinical research initiatives related to mental health conditions, addiction counseling, PTSD care, autism spectrum disorders, and neurodevelopmental disabilities to inform best practices. Facilitate ongoing staff training on topics such as social work principles, behavior management strategies, medical terminology, CPT coding practices, ICD coding updates, and cultural competency in working with diverse populations. Collaborate with families and caregivers to develop supportive care plans that address individual needs across home and community settings. Monitor clinical outcomes through data collection efforts to ensure continuous quality improvement in service delivery. Experience Proven management experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams within behavioral health or mental health settings. Extensive background working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder. Demonstrated expertise in behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis (ABA), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches like PTSD care, and addiction counseling.
