Full Job Description Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the management and oversight of the electronic and paper client records and the medical records department. Maintains compliance with corporate and legal requirements for retention of records. Review, develop, educate/train staff and implement health information plans to assure compliance with state, federal, accrediting and funder organization or regulatory requirements. Ensures personnel record compliance for contractors and student licensed practitioners. Leads all aspects of training in myAvatar for contractors and student licensed practitioners. Responsible for the protection and privacy of client Personal Health Information (PHI). Generate and analyze electronic health record reports. Assist with internal and external audits relating to client records. #
Sponsored Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors' Degree in Health Information Management preferred, with RHIA or HA credentials. Associates Degree with RHIT or Experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Experience:
Minimum of two years' experience working in the behavioral health, quality improvement, or health information field preferred; related health care and quality management experience may be considered. Experience in auditing, compliance, surveying, credentialing, and HIPAA regulations is essential.
