You will make an impact by: Overseeing, supervising, and managing faculty and students assigned to clinical sites, makes phone or on-site visits, mediates conflicts, establishes specific learning objectives, records attendance and supervises clinical affiliations to ensure that the expertise is adequate and achieves a satisfactory level of performance. Providing professional leadership and support for clinical teaching faculty; serves as a mentor and facilitator for faculty assigned; and enables an environment which fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility. Ensuring students are current on vaccinations, assigns clinical sites and records attendance. Coordinates and assigns students to clinical sites for the RT program. Maintaining records and ensures compliance with the college and RT program policies and procedures. Participating in school activities such as student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.

Your Experience Includes :

Must have a minimum of four (4) years teaching or occupational experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, of which at least two (2) years must include experience in clinical respiratory care. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor. Knowledgeable education standards such as Title IV, ABHES, CoARC, BPPE, and other accreditation standards preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with or in clinical sites, placing students, and coordinating related documents preferred.

Education:

A minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE). Must be a graduate from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital- based program) in the specialty field or subject area.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) State and/or National programmatic certification/licensure required.
