Triage Medical Assistant / Patient Care Services Coordinator Join our growing neurology practice as a Triage Medical Assistant / Patient Care Services Coordinator (PCSC) . We're looking for a compassionate, dependable team member who can manage high-volume patient calls, prioritize clinical needs, and provide excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Answer high-volume inbound calls for patients across multiple providers and locations Verify patient identity and HIPAA authorization before discussing protected health information Identify patient needs, determine urgency, and appropriately route clinical concerns Recognize and immediately escalate urgent or red-flag symptoms to the appropriate clinical team Create and document Telephone Encounters (TEs) accurately in the EMR Manage patient voicemails, callbacks, and outbound follow-up calls Process e-prescription refill requests and medication-related tasks Complete and follow up on prior authorizations, Forus tasks, and medication-access issues Handle faxes, paperwork, provider messages, and other clinical-support tasks Complete required patient follow-up and documentation by end of day Maintain live call queue coverage and assist patients regardless of assigned provider or location Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members while maintaining patient privacy What You'll Bring 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience required Medical terminology knowledge required Triage, neurology, or high-volume call experience preferred EMR experience preferred; eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus Prior authorization and medication refill experience preferred Strong typing, computer, and documentation skills Clear verbal and written communication Strong organization, multitasking, and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Holiday Pay If you enjoy patient care, problem-solving, teamwork, and working in a busy clinical environment, we'd love to hear from you.
