History:
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising daily patient access operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining revenue cycle integrity, supporting staff performance, and driving departmental goals. The Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and accountability for frontline staff while assisting the Patient Access Director with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, performance management, and departmental oversight.
Requirements:
Education:
Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Ability to operate personal computers and possess basic computer skills. Leadership, management abilities, and effective oral and written communications skills desired.
Licenses/Certificates:
N/A Experience:
Three to five (3-5) years of Patient Access, Registration, Revenue Cycle, or Healthcare Operations experience. Two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred. Experience with hospital and clinic registration processes strongly preferred. Experience managing performance metrics and operational improvement initiatives preferred.
