This role supports physicians, hospital leadership, and operational leaders through patient reconciliation, documentation review, reporting, record management, and billing support activities. The Practice Coordinator helps ensure patient encounters are accurately captured, documented, and submitted to the Billing Center, making this role a critical part of TeamHealth's chart capture and revenue cycle processes. You will also support monthly reporting, collaborate with clinicians and leaders across the hospital, and help ensure the practice operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and comfortable building relationships with clinicians, hospital partners, and leaders at all levels.
Day-to- Day Responsibilities:
Support the daily administrative and operational functions of the Hospital Medicine practice Perform patient reconciliation, record processing, and documentation review Ensure patient encounters are accurately captured and submitted to the designated Billing Center Coordinate physician documentation and assist with record completion and compliance requirements Obtain and maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information to support billing processes Prepare and distribute reports for clinicians and operational leadership Support monthly reporting activities and participate in quarterly operational meetings Collaborate with physicians, hospital staff, and TeamHealth leaders to support practice operations Maintain HIPAA compliance and always protect patient confidentiality Assist with data collection and other administrative functions that support practice performance Requirements Job Requirements Experience working in a hospital, physician office, medical practice, or healthcare setting Experience handling patient information, medical records, documentation, or administrative support functions Strong customer service skills and a service-oriented approach to supporting clinicians and leaders Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with physicians, leadership teams, and hospital staff Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred Skills/Experience 1-2 years of healthcare administrative experience Experience supporting physicians, advanced practice clinicians, or healthcare leaders Experience with medical records administration, billing support, chart capture, or revenue cycle processes Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Familiarity with hospital information systems and healthcare reporting Work Environment This on-site position is based within a hospital environment and requires regular collaboration with physicians, clinicians, hospital staff, and operational leaders.
