Job Description

We're looking for an experienced, organized, and compassionate Nursing Manager to lead our team of school-based nurses. In this role, you'll oversee nursing operations with an emphasis on staffing and safety. Also focus on health plan compliance and district relationships. You'll be the backbone connecting our field nurses, school partners, and leadership team, ensuring every student we serve receives safe, consistent, well-documented care. What You'll Do Safety & Education Lead nurse education and training initiatives Organize and run monthly nurse meetings Staffing Post job openings and manage recruitment Inform current staff of open positions and encourage referrals Lead hiring and interviews for nursing staff Review the upcoming week's schedule to catch gaps early Step in to cover shifts when scheduling holes arise (Care for students as a sub will likely be approximately twice a week) Technology Troubleshoot tablet issues for field staff Partner with developers on charting app updates and improvements Manage annual renewals Prep new tablets Health Plans Update Individual Health Plans Obtain required parent, nurse, and physician signatures Submit completed health plans to schools Manage mid-year updates and obtain new medication orders as needed Provide same-day response to Medicaid survey-related emails Staff Recognition Send thank-you cards to recognize staff contributions Acknowledge staff achievements and milestones on Homebase Bring snacks or lunch to staff as a token of appreciation Plan and coordinate company parties and Nurses Week celebrations Charting & Documentation Review staff charting for accuracy and sufficient documentation Perform final review of documentation prior to billing Write a monthly update report for the SpEd Director, Coordinator, and Nursing leadership Communicate with the billing team via email Business Development Reach out to school districts to identify points of contact Build relationships with SPED directors, liaisons, and nursing staff at partner districts Complete RFP (Request for Proposal) submissions for new business opportunities Staff Recognition Send thank-you cards to recognize staff contributions Acknowledge staff achievements and milestones on Homebase Bring snacks or lunch to staff as a token of appreciation Plan and coordinate company parties and Nurses Week celebrations What We're Looking For Active RN license in Utah Prior experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or home health preferred Prior supervisory or management experience preferred Comfortable with technology Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for external partner relationships A team-first mindset with a genuine interest in supporting and recognizing staff Familiarity with Medicaid documentation and billing requirements is a plus Why Join Us Meaningful work supporting students with complex health needs Leadership role with real ownership over staffing, operations, and growth Collaborative, mission-driven team culture If you feel you are a good fit, we hope you apply with us.
