            JMUEmployment General Information:
            The Department of Health Professions is seeking an Administrative Assistant to manage the offices of the Physician's Assistant (PA) and Athletic Training (AT) programs.
            Duties and Responsibilities:
            Responsibilities include managing program offices, supporting directors and faculty, coordinating class schedules, maintaining student and admissions records, serving as a liaison with the Graduate School and Registrar's Office, handling communications and visitor inquiries, overseeing lab equipment and inventory, processing faculty travel and reimbursements, and reconciling program assets. The role also supports admissions activities by managing application portals, coordinating interviews and campus visits, assisting with admissions processes, and communicating admission decisions to the Graduate School.
            Qualifications:
            Required Qualifications:
            • Strong understanding of office administration practices
            • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, along with excellent computer, typing, and data-entry skills
            • Exceptional attention to detail
            • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
            • Effective accounting/bookkeeping knowledge
            • Outstanding written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
            • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, follow through on tasks, and maintain strict confidentiality
            Additional Considerations:
            • Understanding of university operations, including the relationship between academic programs, departments, colleges, and student services
