JOB TITLE
Medical Insurance Specialist
SUPERVISOR
Office Manager We are a long-standing Health Care Clinic within our community which provides exemplary patient care.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Will work closely with clinical staff to ensure a premiere patient experience as well maintain the organization involved behind the scenes in our day-to-day operations of the clinic. No travel required.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Handle general insurance filings, billing, and dispute resolutions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, handling of our patient's needs and inquiries, assisting in daily appointment schedules and confirmations, patient problem solving while assisting with patient needs. Assist the doctors and practitioners with first impression interaction of patients. Handle various required quarterly filings, to handling the credentialing of providers as needed. Day to day issues will keep you busy handling the needs of our team, amazing patients, and overall business!
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Back up to answering telephone calls, fill-in at front desk as needed, and overall office maintenance as well as keeping all clinic aspects well organized. Working with insurances to obtain approval & credentialing of providers, etc...
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
College preferred but not required. High school Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience:
Healthcare office or facility experience preferred. Past success in verification of Patient's Insurance. Work experience and knowledge regarding the filing of a Patient's health Insurance and the subsequent handling of any required follow-up. Customer Care experience with strong emphasis on customer/patient satisfaction HIGHLY preferred. Have a positive, extroverted personality that focuses on the details.
Other:
Team Player Excellent organizational skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Experience in QuickBooks, Sycle, or CounselEAR is a PLUS. Solid communicator with a superb phone persona.
