Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Healthcare Operations Manager to support initiatives across the Military Health System (MHS). This role is responsible for providing operational oversight, policy implementation, process improvement, stakeholder coordination, and performance management support related to patient administration, patient registration, health records management, patient identification, and MHS GENESIS-enabled workflows. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in military or federal healthcare operations, health information management, patient administration, or healthcare program management. They will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring standardized processes, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide consistency across Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs). Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate patient administration activities, ensuring alignment with DHA policies, procedures, and strategic objectives. Support operational planning, project management, and performance monitoring efforts across patient administration programs and initiatives. Facilitate collaboration among DHA leadership, Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), Service stakeholders, and functional working groups. Develop and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, training materials, briefing packages, meeting minutes, and executive-level reports. Monitor compliance with patient identification, registration, health record management, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Analyze operational data, identify trends and risks, and provide recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and standardization. Support implementation and optimization of

workflows and related healthcare business processes. Coordinate meetings, working groups, and governance forums, tracking action items and supporting leadership decision-making. Develop metrics, dashboards, and performance reports that provide visibility into program execution and operational outcomes. Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, to manage communications, documentation, and reporting. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience supporting healthcare administration, patient administration, health information management, military healthcare operations, or healthcare program management. Demonstrated knowledge of patient registration, patient identification, health records management, privacy requirements, and healthcare operations. Experience supporting DHA, Military Health System (MHS), Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), VA, TRICARE, or other federal healthcare organizations preferred. Familiarity with MHS GENESIS, electronic health record systems, healthcare data management, or operational performance reporting. Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience developing policies, standard operating procedures, executive briefings, and management reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Military healthcare experience or prior service within DHA, Navy Medicine, Army Medical Command, Air Force Medical Service, or the Veterans Health Administration. Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or related certification. Experience supporting enterprise healthcare transformation, governance, quality improvement, or business process improvement initiatives.
Pay:
$82,155.72 - $144,854.20 per year
