RN Supervisor - Acute Cardiac / IMCU Stepdown Acute Cardiac Stepdown Unit delivers comprehensive care to patients with a variety of complex cardiac conditions. This includes individuals with heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as those recovering from coronary interventions, ablation procedures, and myocardial infarction. The Acute Cardiac Stepdown team also expertly manages patients both before and after cardiac catheterization, and provides acute care for stroke patients. Job Summary The Nursing Supervisor for acute care shares 24/7 responsibility with the manager for daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Supervises patient care staff to ensure safety, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient and family experience. Assists with budgeting, purchasing, payroll, and staffing, and serves as a clinical resource and mentor. Supports staff recruitment, retention, development, and education. Effective communication and adaptable leadership are essential for achieving department goals. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required) MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing BLS within 90 days of hire Experience 2+ years of recent Bedside experience required 1+ years of recent RN Leadership experience required
