Unit Coordinator - Medical Telemetry Our high-acuity, 24-bed, patient-centered unit cares for adult patients (ages 18 and above) with a diverse range of complex medical needs. Common diagnoses include COPD, stroke (CVA), congestive heart failure (CHF), sepsis, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), peripheral vascular disease (PVD), renal failure, chronic kidney disease, pancreatitis, and other acute and chronic medical conditions. As a Registered Nurse on Medical Telemetry, you'll join a collaborative team, utilizing advanced technology to closely monitor and support patients through all phases of their recovery. Job Summary The Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required) MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing BLS within 90 days of hire Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred. Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire NIH within 1 year of hire Experience 18 Months of acute care RN experience(required) Experience in Telemetry and/or Medical Previous charge experience preferred Acute Care nursing background preferred
