About Us At Winchester Pediatric Clinic, we provide comprehensive healthcare for children — from same-day sick visits and well-child care to chronic illness management, physicals, and developmental consultations. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented practice committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and families. Position Overview We are seeking a full-time Referral Coordinator to join our team. This is a high-volume, detail-driven role responsible for coordinating patient referrals, managing insurance requirements, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and specialists. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of their work. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule referral appointments with specialists and facilities Obtain and manage insurance prior authorizations for medications and procedures Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely care Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Handle incoming calls, messages, and emails related to referrals Ensure all referral documentation is complete and properly transmitted What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality Calm, solution-oriented mindset under pressure Positive, team-first attitude with a "can-do" approach Requirements Prior medical office experience required Computer proficiency required Familiarity with insurance carriers and prior authorizations preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Additional Information This is a high-responsibility, fast-paced role that requires patience, accuracy, and strong follow-through.
