Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hospitality & Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse range of events and hospitality services. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of event management, from initial concept development to on-site operations, ensuring seamless experiences for clients and guests alike. Your expertise will drive successful event marketing initiatives, manage budgets effectively, and foster exceptional customer service standards. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, vendor negotiations, and logistical arrangements to ensure flawless execution. Lead the entire event lifecycle from initial concept through post-event evaluation, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage. Manage event budgets meticulously, controlling costs while maximizing value through strategic upselling and negotiation with vendors and suppliers. Coordinate with marketing teams to promote events through targeted campaigns and utilize event marketing strategies to boost attendance and engagement. Oversee all event operations on-site, including setup, catering, guest services, technical requirements, and compliance with safety standards. Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track client information, manage reservations, and streamline communication. Lead and mentor a team of staff and vendors to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of hospitality industry best practices. Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, communicating effectively, and providing tailored solutions that exceed expectations. Manage contracts with venues, caterers, entertainment providers, and other vendors to ensure favorable terms and quality service delivery. Implement effective project management techniques to handle multiple events simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality benchmarks. Fill in at Bar and for events as needed Experience Proven experience in hospitality industry roles such as bar management, hotel management, restaurant operations, or banquet/event planning. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale events including conferences, weddings, corporate functions or fundraising events. Strong background in event budgeting, managing vendor negotiations, and upselling opportunities to enhance revenue streams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint) as well as specialized event management software tools. Experience using CRM systems for client communication and relationship management. Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-centric approach to service delivery. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, team members and stakeholders at all levels. Prior experience in managing teams within fast-paced hospitality or events environments is highly desirable. $52,067.20 - $85,000.00 per year
