Job Description
Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Executive Director to provide executive, clinical, and administrative leadership for JHC's integrated healthcare services, including primary care, dental care, behavioral health, and opioid treatment services. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare executive, physician, or advanced practice provider who is passionate about integrated care, addiction medicine, patient-centered services, and culturally responsive healthcare. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), organizational performance, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, workforce leadership, quality improvement, and continued development of JHC programs and services. The Executive Director leads the JHC Leadership Team and works collaboratively with the JHC Medical Director and other clinical and operational leaders to ensure safe, effective, integrated, culturally responsive, and compliant patient care. In addition to executive leadership responsibilities, the Executive Director maintains an active clinical role and provides direct patient care within licensure and scope of practice, including services requiring prescriptive authority, to support JHC's primary care and opioid treatment services. The Executive Director role requires consistent on-site leadership to support staff, maintain operational continuity, and ensure effective coordination across departments. On-site presence is required Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., due to the scope and responsibilities of the role. Essential Functions Leadership, Operations & Compliance Provide executive, administrative, and clinical leadership for JHC programs and services and ensure alignment with organizational goals, policies, and standards. Ensure administrative, personnel, and clinical policies and procedures are current, implemented, and consistently followed. Maintain executive oversight of JHC regulatory compliance and ensure the OTP meets applicable federal, state, Tribal, accreditation, and organizational requirements. Ensure development and maintenance of an internal quality management and performance improvement process addressing clinical quality, supervision, training, regulatory compliance, patient outcomes, and continuous improvement. Monitor program performance, utilization, authorization processes, clinician productivity, quality measures, and patient outcomes; identifies and addresses operational or clinical workflow concerns. Lead continued development and growth of JHC programs and services through workforce planning, recruitment, community engagement, quality review, strategic planning, and program development. Oversee fiscal performance, budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning in collaboration with JCARE leadership. Provide administrative supervision and leadership support to the JHC Medical Director, Substance Use Disorder Counseling Lead, Director of Integrated Behavioral Health, Clinic Administrative Officer, and other designated leadership positions. Oversee Security and Behavioral Health operations to ensure staffing, service delivery, and operational practices align with JHC and organizational standards. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to direct reports. Ensure compliance with applicable JHC and JCARE policies, safety requirements, confidentiality standards, and workplace practices. Clinical & Integrated Care Leadership Provide direct patient care within licensure and scope of practice, including OTP assessments, medication management and prescribing, medication adjustments, primary care services, and other clinical services necessary to support patient care and program operations. Maintain applicable professional licensure, credentials, and prescriptive authority necessary to perform assigned clinical responsibilities. Lead the JHC Leadership Clinical Review Group and participates in clinical consultation, case review, quality improvement, and other interdisciplinary activities. Collaborate with the JHC Medical Director and dental, behavioral health, primary care, and other clinical and operational leaders to support clinical quality, patient safety, continuity of care, and effective integration of services across JHC.
