Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the vital link between our patients and our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of Dental office procedures, and a passion for providing exceptional patient service. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, and support administrative functions to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using patient management software and maintain accurate records. Verify patient insurance information and assist with health insurance inquiries to facilitate billing processes. Communicate clearly with patients via phone and in person regarding treatment plans, appointment details, and follow-up care. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with health regulation policies and privacy standards. Support the clinical team by managing electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring documentation accuracy. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and managing correspondence to streamline office operations. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental office environment with familiarity administrative support is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both over the phone and face-to-face. Experience with Dentrix Ascend software systems is preferred. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, including typing accuracy and efficient time management.
