This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of medical office management, and experience in dental practice environments. Responsibilities Lead the overall management of the dental clinic, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow optimization. Oversee financial operations such as budgeting, billing, coding, and medical billing processes to ensure fiscal health. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations including
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and state/federal policies related to medical records and patient privacy. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks or similar EMR/EHR platforms for accurate patient documentation. Coordinate human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development for dental and administrative teams. Ensure excellent customer service by fostering a welcoming environment and addressing patient concerns promptly. Monitor clinic performance metrics to improve efficiency, patient outcomes, and overall practice management. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize clinical workflows and ensure high-quality patient care delivery. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of healthcare management practices including HIPAA compliance, health regulation policies, and managed care protocols. Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financials, and billing processes effectively. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Experience in medical administrative support functions such as medical records management and patient management software. Knowledge of healthcare staff management including hiring practices and human resources policies. Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms and maintain high standards of accuracy in medical records handling. Critical care or acute care experience is a plus; familiarity with JCAHO accreditation standards is desirable.
