Mountain View EyeCare Center is dedicated to providing high-quality eye care in a welcoming and professional environment. We offer a wide range of services from comprehensive eye exams to the latest in eyewear and contact lens technology. Our team values personalized care, and we are looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Associate to help create an outstanding patient experience.
Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your role will involve assisting with scheduling appointments, answering patient questions, and providing a smooth, efficient check-in process. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail are essential for this position. You will play an integral part in ensuring patients receive the best service and support from the moment they walk in the door.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Schedule appointments and manage patient records in our system. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls as necessary. Verify patient information and insurance details. Collect co-pays, process payments, and handle billing inquiries. Maintain clean and organized front desk area. Assist with the management of patient flow and ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification is a plus. Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally in a healthcare or eye care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processing, and Crystal (EHR) experience is a plus.
