Patient Care Coordinator Supervisor 2651 Hillcrest Dr, Hudson, WI 54016 Full-time Full-time The Patient Care Coordinator Supervisor assists the Patient Care Coordinator Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Patient Care Coordinator department. This position provides leadership and support to PCC staff, serves as a key communication resource, coordinates provider scheduling, and helps ensure efficient workflows, excellent customer service, and consistent departmental performance. The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Supervisor assists the PCC Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Patient Care Coordinator department. This working supervisor provides leadership and support to PCC staff, coordinates provider scheduling, helps ensure efficient workflows, and serves as a key communication resource. The position also performs Patient Care Coordinator duties as needed to support scheduling needs, maintain workflow continuity, and ensure excellent patient service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Observe all PCC areas daily and provide support as needed Provide daily work direction & problem solutions to PCC team Facilitate new hire orientation process & assist in staff recruitment Oversee PCC staff scheduling and training Conduct PCC staff performance reviews Review and approve staff timecards Develop and maintain provider schedules and provider templates Monitor & track scheduling and pre-registration discrepancies Support PCC pre-registration & scheduling Provide input for budget Assist in the development of policies & procedures Coordinate and conduct monthly PCC staff meetings Participate in interdepartmental informational meetings Perform additional duties as assigned
SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Remain punctual, reliable, and available for late coverage if applicable Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while supporting the clinic's vision Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Maintain a neat and well-groomed professional appearance Remain flexible and adapt to changes in work priorities and procedures Interact positively with all interdisciplinary team members Maintain confidentiality of all information acquired through employment Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, providers, internal personnel, and personnel from outside facilities Follow clinic emergency/safety protocols and attend mandatory meetings Abide by clinic protocols, ergonomic recommendations, and OSHA standards Adhere to the philosophy and provide comprehensive care according to a patient centered healthcare clinic
Working Conditions :
Subject to interruptions, imposed deadlines and frequent problem-solving activities Standard office environment
Physical Demands:
Abide by ergonomic recommendations of the position. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetic devices that will enable these senses to function adequately Sit for several hours Subject to lifting and carrying supplies averaging 15 pounds Repetitive motions involving use of phone and keyboard
EDUCATION
Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired:
Post-secondary education and/or training in a health care setting
EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
One year in a clinical setting
Desired:
One year in a clinical setting with scheduling and registration experience
KNOWLEDGE
Ability to work independently and communicate well with providers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of medical terminology & health care insurance Knowledge of PC, Windows, & Microsoft Office Ability to multi-task
