Clinical Supervisor

Clinical Supervisor Job Description The Clinical Supervisor shall be immersed in client-facing programming as a primary counselor; carrying a case load of up to 5 clients. Clinical Supervisor shall supervise, at minimum, one clinical staff member according to the dictates of DHS75. The Clinical Supervisor shall work collaboratively under the direction of the Clinical Director to provide supervisory support to clinical team members, program development, and regulatory statutes. The Clinical Supervisor shall be selected by and report to the Clinical Director. Qualifications of the

Clinical Director:

• Minimal qualification of CSIT as awarded by the Department of Safety and Professional Services. Shall preferably have a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology, but must minimally be licensed as a Substance Abuse Counselor, in addition to supervisory credential.
• Must have at least three years experience in the Alcohol & Drug treatment field.
• Skill set (or capacity) for counselor training and development.
• If recovering, shall have at least three years of continuous sobriety.

Responsibilities of the

Clinical Supervisor:

• Full engagement in client-facing program as primary counselor; carrying a caseload of up to 5 individual clients.

Tasks include, but are not limited to: o Assessment, diagnosis, completion of mental status exam, ASAM placement criteria o Treatment planning o Insurance authorization and utilization review o Group counseling facilitation o Individual Counseling o Family Session facilitation o Documentation and case management needs o Psychoeducational lectures o Aftercare/Discharge planning o Weekend rotation coverage for facilitation of Family Education Program

• Responsible for maintaining best practice principles within program structure
• Work collaboratively with Clinical Director for implementing/monitoring programmatic tenets of DHS 75
• Work collaboratively with Clinical Director for counselor training and development
• Shall supervise at minimum one counselor and account for counselors' supervision (according to DHS 75 standards)
• Responsible for patient records and audit of supervisee records
• Responsible for performance evaluation of supervisee
• Expedite problem cases (for clients or staff behaviors) when Clinical Director is unavailable (in conjunction with Executive Director as advisor)
• May handle complaints/grievance in Clinical Director's absence
• On call after hours; to be rotated with Clinical Director if applicable
• Other discretionary responsibilities as determined by Clinical Director or Executive Director Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
• No or very limited physical effort is required
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk

Pay:

$68,333.00 - $79,342.00 per year
