To provide clinical and supervisory oversight to the Community Support Program and to provide direct supervision to clinical coordinators in the Community Support Program. Develop, operate and administrate programs and contracted services designed to fulfill the needs of the Community Support Program. Provide supervision to assigned workers. Manage assigned staff workload. Work towards the development of plans and budgets for use of federal, state and local funds for mental health services in conjunction with Departmental staff. Participate in the development and preparation of a comprehensive plan for mental health services in Racine County. Maintain knowledge of and oversee implementation of DHS 63. Implement any new Federal, State, and County legislation, policy, and procedures into current practice and monitoring of compliance regarding those policies. Arrange staffing coverage for the CSP Program. Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for CSP Staff. Ensure all staff is compliant with DHS 63 clinical supervision, training, and Medicaid requirements. Ensure the Clinical Director is informed of current practice and the expectations of the Clinical Director are implemented. Make intervention and assessment decisions using the "Best Practice" philosophy. Work collaboratively with law enforcement, families, other county departments, schools, continuum of acute care services providers, and other community resources to coordinate appropriate crisis resolution and referral. Consult with other unit supervisors/clinical staff regarding clients' needs, available services, and future impact on the unit to provide continuity of cases. Select and evaluate unit staff and make recommendations on other personnel decisions. Ensure staff complete all necessary health care/medical and financial record documentation required to maintain complete medical and financial billing records. Complete appropriate and timely medical record documentation, which may include assessments, follow-up contacts, crisis plans, administrative, demographic, insurance, and financial information Provide backup coverage for the duties of staff. Provide after- hours supervisory oversight to crisis workers taking emergency mental health and APS referrals on a rotating basis. (only appropriately credentialed staff) Work collaboratively with on-call workers conducting emergency investigations. (only appropriately credentialed staff) Perform other duties as assigned, including responding to an emergency event. Supervision Exercised Has supervisory responsibility for the county and contracted staff within the Unit. Supervision Received Receives supervision from the program manager in accordance with DHS 63. Also receives supervision from Aging and Disability Division Administrator Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work or counseling.
