Summary:
The Regional Director of Psychological Health serves as a senior behavioral health leader responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating psychological health services across an assigned Army Reserve region. This role ensures consistent delivery of evidence based care, compliance with program standards, and effective integration of psychological health resources that support Soldier readiness and resilience.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments by completing comprehensive evaluations that consider biological, psychological, and social factors to guide clinical recommendations.
Provide behavioral health consultation by offering expert guidance to Soldiers, leaders, and care teams on behavioral health concerns and appropriate interventions.
Manage referrals by coordinating timely connections to military, VA, or community behavioral health providers to ensure continuity of care.
Coordinate care by maintaining communication among providers, commands, and Soldiers to support effective treatment and case resolution.
Consult with commanders by advising leadership on behavioral health trends, risk factors, and Soldier readiness considerations.
Deliver training and education by providing instruction on behavioral health topics, resilience, and suicide prevention to Soldiers and command teams.
Provide critical incident support by responding to highstress or traumatic events and ensuring appropriate followup and coordination with command and clinical resources.
Support behavioral health program operations by assisting with program implementation, data tracking, quality assurance, and adherence to policy requirements.
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Education Requirements:
LCSW:
Master's Degree in Social Work
LPC:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field
Licensure:
Current unrestricted state license required
Multi-state licensure strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience
Clinical counseling experience within the last 3 years
Government background screening required
Travel:
